Just as a reminder, here is Leia’s message to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Is Leia going to get a memory wipe at the end of this? Okay, that does mean this entire show was a waste of time (which it is) but that still leaves the problem of Darth Vader.

This is Star Wars canon being fired out of a canon. Just sell it, Disney. You are never going to see your money back otherwise.
